On March 16, 2015, Dr. Joseph Green (98) passed away in Westlake, Ohio, USA.
His Contributions to Bangkok University
Dr. Green was a beloved friend and colleague of Bangkok University especially to our senior
executives who have known him well from the early years of the university’s foundation throughout
its development during which Dr. Green in particular and Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU)
at large were of great assistance. He contributed his expertise and advice to Bangkok University
in its early years when it was named Thai Polytechnic (1962) and later Bangkok College (1972).
Dr. Green provided expert guidance on the university’s curriculum management and
executives who have known him well from the early years of the university’s foundation throughout
its development during which Dr. Green in particular and Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU)
at large were of great assistance. He contributed his expertise and advice to Bangkok University

Dr. Green provided expert guidance on the university’s curriculum management and
administrative organization as well as on its teaching development and aided in providing FDU

Honorary Doctoral Degree
In 1992, when BU celebrated its 30th Anniversary, Dr. Joseph Green, Distinguished Professor
and Dean of College of Business Administration, Fairleigh Dickinson University, received
an Honorary Doctoral Degree of Business Administration from Bangkok University for his active

role in inducting BU Business Administration courses during 1963 to 1973. He also played
a major role in activating the collaboration between the two institutions and inspired BU
professors to come to the US and visit universities to explore the American education system.
